Aims of the National Committee for Geography
The Australian Academy of Science has more than thirty National Committees - of which the National Committee for Geography is one - to advise its Council on the various areas of science in Australia and provide liaison with international scientific bodies, notably those affiliated with the International Council of Scientific Unions. The aims of these Committees are to:
